Terrific coffee maker! This is my third in about two months -- my quest to replace a Senseo Supreme -- see my previous review of the Bunn for further account of my tribulations.Cutting to the bottom line: I still think I prefer the Senseo Supreme, but this is certainly a worthy alternate. The only reason I did not go with a new Senseo is that a LOT of recent reviews complained about a very bad plastic smell/taste, and associated this with a new manufacturer in the last year.Comparison to Senseo:General: Good high pressure, high temp brew. Reservoir, not pour as you go. Gives the same nice foamy top as the Senseo.Better: Accepts a bigger variety of pod sizes/brands without complaint. The Senseo could be a little finicky about non-Senseo pods. Gives the pod a short "opening blast" to prime it before the full cup.Not better: Only accepts one pod at a time; I miss being able to do an extra-large or extra-strong cup all at one go. A lot fewer size (volume) options than Senseo. I think it's noticeably noisier than the Senseo. The cup bay is a bit awkwardly-shaped; a couple of my cups with large or low-set handles don't fit quite neatly. The top looks like it is flat, but isn't: you want to set the pod tray on top when you're working with it and it slides off! (Learning curve here!)All in all, a great little machine. From what I hear of the current Senseo, it may be the better choice in the price range, or even the best. Either way, you will not be disappointed.

This machine makes great coffee. For my needs. I find I get a better quality of Java with the 6 ounce setting. A larger, more ounces of water weakens the brew significantly. That makes a cup of coffee very expensive. But if price is not a factor then you will indeed get a great cup of coffee.frankly, I'm amazed at how much pods cost. Starbucks does not offer them, at least I couldn't find them. If they did, they would probably be even more expensive. Amazon offers several brands and they have all been great, especially the Melita Brand.
